Ok GPOY but I’ve gotta clear the air cuz I’ve shown my face now and there may be some confusion. I look a lot younger than I actually am. No… I’m not 16. Yes, I am over 21…that is all I will say on this matter. : P
OH GOD THIS MAKES ME RAGE. I hate people who lie, and I also hate people who pretend there isn’t an oppressive, debt-choking environment for college students of modest means in this country. So for any of you who might have been fooled by stories of people who “pulled their own way” through college at “a modestly priced state university”, “worked hard enough” and came out relatively debt free… weeell this wonderful wonderful blog goddess (bloggess) just took such a story currently circulating among the conservative sheeple on facebook and completely blasted it.
You know those stories where people write on a sheet of paper their life story… well I had seen this one floating around on facebook myself, an anon (can’t see her face) claiming she got a 3.8 GPA, went to state college, had scholarships worked full time, low rent and came out completely debt free and it was all by her own hard work.
LMAO at the result of a little bit of research into this faker. God bless you blogess… and you all.. you hard working college students (or almost college students) who are pissed off, poor and barely scraping by while working 20-40-60 hour weeks while sharing sh*t-hole one room apartments with no heat… don’t listen to the sh*t-talking from blatant liars. And the point is YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO SUFFER LIKE THIS. YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE ENRAGED AT A SYSTEM THAT IS FAILING YOU AT THE MOST BASIC LEVELS.
Oh, and stay in school.
What if the Earth had rings like Saturn? I would watch this, it is truly gorgeous to see, plus educational.
Titan’s Hazy History and the Potential for Life
Saturn’s moon Titan is the only moon in our solar system known to possess an atmosphere of any significance.
Ten times thicker than Earth’s, Titan’s atmosphere extends nearly 370 miles (600 km) above its frigid surface. It’s a literal chemical factory, where nitrogen and methane are zapped by the sun’s ultraviolet rays and transformed into organic molecules, some of which descend to the moon’s surface while others rise up above the clouds, creating a bluish high-level haze of hydrocarbons.
Titan’s atmosphere forms an opaque orange shroud that covers it and hides many of its surface features from view, keeping much of its details a mystery until the arrival of the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft in 2004.

Soundtrack for The Wolfman by Danny Elfman… as featured most recently, for the trailer to the upcoming Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
I realized that this music was one of the main reasons I kept re-watching that trailer. This vid was the best quality audio I could find for it. : P
I don’t like this new fanmade Gallifreyan.
I mean, I appreciate the effort, and that’s sort of nice, but it doesn’t look right: it seems to be structured in an entirley different way to the way that we glimpse at it in the show. I despise the sweepy wiggly lines, and…
To quote WRATH OF KHAN: YOU ARE ALL SUPERIOR… : D

1967 - Katherine Switzer is tackled to the ground for trying to run the Boston Marathon. She wasn’t trying to make a statement, she was just trying to prove to herself and her coach that she could run 26 miles. Women weren’t allowed to run in the race. She didn’t tell the officials she was a woman.
3 miles in, after a press van found her, a race official charged at her, ripping part of her number off and sending her sprawling to the pavement and yelling out “You’re in deep trouble!” She still finished the race.
It wasn’t until 1984 that women could run the marathon in the Olympics. In 2008, women finally were also allowed to compete in the steeplechase (3 km hurdles) I personally knew the USA national champion in the steeplechase. She wasn’t allowed to complete in the Olympics in 2000!
EDIT: I’m a long distance runner, this is why I care . . : D

Haha, I love reality checks. This is not that long ago! Where is that video of women being lineman tackled to the ground for trying to run in a marathon?… O_o … In my mind, its not about being a victim and overemphasizing the oppression, rather, its about being aware and making your own way. Become what you are already… unique and beyond categorization. That’s what all those who fight for their rights are doing. Anyone who sees this kind of oppression (still exists in the world people) and isn’t a feminist, is either in denial or has some serious issues. Obviously I’m a feminist whose had too much caffeine today… : D

Today’s “Tennant, WTF are you wearing?!”

I have 5 words: Your argument is now invalid.
